I have to live my life presently. Years ago I had cancer and that made me significantly stop. I was on the fast lane, big time. After that, I realized that I had to slow down. Every single second of the day matters. I kept thinking ‘if I could just get through the week, if I could just get through the day” I was wishing my life away. So you just need to be present every single day of every single moment because it’s a gift. Everything you do is your life and your journey and you need to appreciate it. Because that’s what you got.

How many times have you wished your life away? If you’re like me, it’s probably more times than you’d care to admit. We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life that we forget to live in the present and appreciate the moment we’re in. But what if I told you that the secret to a happy and fulfilling life is as simple as being present? Keep reading to find out how being present can change your life for the better.
The Benefits of Being Present
When you’re present, you’re fully engaged in whatever you’re doing—whether that’s talking to a friend, taking a walk, or working on a project. And when you’re fully engaged, you’re more likely to achieve your goals, be more productive, and feel happier. That’s because being present allows you to focus on what’s important and let go of distractions. It also allows you to connect more deeply with others and build stronger relationships. And perhaps most importantly, it allows you to appreciate the good moments and learn from the bad ones.
How to Be More Present
If you want to start reaping the benefits of being present, there are a few things you can do. First, make a conscious effort to put away your phone and other distractions when you’re talking to someone. Second, take breaks throughout the day to clear your mind and relax—even if it’s just for a few minutes. And third, try to identify your triggers—the things that make it difficult for you to be present—and find ways to avoid them or deal with them in a healthy way.
The next time you find yourself wishing your life away, stop and take a moment to appreciate the present. You might just find that it’s the secret to a happy and fulfilled life.
