Just Keep Doing the Next Right Thing

Today we had the privilege in speaking with Anne Schreiber on #MindSetCheck. She shared her life journey and how it has shaped who she is today, while also teaching us some valuable lessons about our own mindset’s importance for living an extraordinary lifestyle! Our mindsets can make all the difference in achieving goals or just getting through days–it really does matter what you think (and maybe every single moment). So here are a few talking points/questions discussed during this interview:

Q: Any practice/mantra/tactics you are currently utilizing to get your mindset right every day?

A: The first thing I do when waking up in the morning is to get some fresh air and exercise. It’s a great way for me not only to maintain my physical health but also mental clarity! On top of that, we have our huddle at work where we share three things that stand out as most important right now, which helps bring balance into your day.

Q: What does the word self-actualizing mean to you?

A: Self-actualizing means so much to me. It’s working towards a goal and having clarity about what exactly it is that I want, and how my time should be spent in order for me to get the most out of every moment while also contributing something meaningful to all these other people who are on their journeys too! Today’s culture can often make us lose sight of ourselves – our own authenticity or true joy/ happiness which was once there but has since faded away because we’ve been focused more heavily upon society’s expectations than anything else.

Q: What is your current theme of your life?

A: The theme I’m going for right now is not worrying about anything else but doing the next correct thing.

The day was full of new lessons, and we learned so many things from Anne. Hopefully, everyone walked away with at least one thing they can take back to their daily life – whether it be a goal or something else entirely! Be sure that you are doing the right thing every time; stay true to yourself by practicing what makes up who you really are. It is important that we take time for ourselves and stay true in this society which can sometimes make it tough when people do not understand what you’re going through because of their own experiences with life’s challenges. Remember, always do right thing even if no one understands at first glance.
