On a recent podcast episode, I had the pleasure of chatting with Karen Sanchez about the importance of processing emotions. We discuss how being present is one of the most powerful ways you can do this, and how getting in touch with gratitude is a great way to get yourself into a higher vibrational state so that you can attract more joy, peace and success. What does it mean to be present? Being present means living in the moment…not in the past or future. It’s about being aware of your thoughts and emotions as they’re happening, without judgment. And it’s this awareness that gives you the power to change them. Our power really resides in the present moment and it’s only when you’re present that you can observe yourself having your emotions, and in so doing, you can calibrate yourself.”
So how do we stay present?
- Stop Pushing Your Happiness Away. When you say things like “I’ll be happy when…” you’re living in the future.
- Stop Revisiting Any Negative Past Experiences. Especially if reminiscing about these experiences keeps you in low vibration. Instead, focus on what brings you joy in the here and now.
- Go All in on Gratitude. Another great way to get into a higher vibrational state and into the present moment is by practicing gratitude. When we’re grateful for what we have, we open ourselves up to receiving even more good.
