COO of Pango Group provides insight on the rise of One Click Transactions

On this episode of The Real Podcast powered by FB Live, we were honored to invite Joe Curtis, COO of the Pango Group. Joe has over twenty years in the industry, starting with sales then working his way up in being the COO of a Top 100 business in Del Mar, CA. Joe shares with us Pango Group’s first ever transaction made with the widely controversial currency Bitcoin. With the rise of technological applications, “One-Click” transactions are starting to create a buzz in the industry. Joe explains that he is on the leading front in his partnership with experts in Silicon Valley to see this idea come to fruition.

Here is an excerpt from the interview that we had with Joe Curtis

David: Joe, give me a summary of who you are and what you do at The Pango Group.

Joe: Wow, who I am and what I do, that a big one. California native, grew up in the bay area, lived in Southern California for the last ten plus years. I’ve been in the Real Estate Industry for the last fifteen years, specifically in Escrow. Right now I am the Chief Operating Officer at a company called The Pango Group. Southern California based company and privately owned with over two hundred and sixty employees. When I’m not doing that, I’m out and about, outside surfing, playing rugby and coaching my boys. I’m also in to giving back to charity, which is where I believe you and I met.

David: Yeah, was it Charity Water, is that the right organization?

Joe: Yeah, it was Charity Water and we were doing a fundraiser what seems like years ago. Which I was involved with in establishing the fundraiser.

David: I didn’t know at the time how important you are. You are important, you got kids, you got a wife, you got a family. You’re just as important to your family as you are to the community. You’re a resident of Del Mar?

Joe: Yes, I’m a resident of Del Mar.

David: Nice, so you answered one of the questions I wanted to talk about. You’ve been in the industry for fifteen years, refresh my memory. Did you say how you got started in the Real Estate Industry?

Joe: No, so it was kind of by accident. I was working in San Francisco, they call them, “Start-ups” now but we called them “Dot.coms” back then. So, I was working in San Francisco at this startup and I was the associate director to sales. I was recruited by a guy named Dan Miller, who had a small consulting company called, Right Now Consulting. Which did a lot of Sales and Sales and Management Consulting in the Real Estate Industry. I tell people I got sucked in the Title and Escrow Vortex in 2005.
