Meet the New Encinitas Coastal Contemporary
Even though “encinitas” means “little oaks”, the town of Encinitas has more palm trees than anythings else: it’s the epitome of a southern California beach town. Surf shops, taco shops, trendy cafes and hip bars line the streets, and flip-flops and board-shorts are usually the attire of choice. Hidden in this laid-back coastal town is the New Encinitas Coastal Contemporary at 307 La Mesa Avenue.
This New Encinitas Coastal Contemporary is a beach lover’s dream: it’s just a short walk away from endless stretches of incredible beaches, surrounded by a relaxed, friendly community. Everything is within walking distance, so morning walks to local cafes and afternoon jogs on the beach are easy to add into your day. Not to mention, Encinitas has an abundance of hiking trails in the nearby lagoon, yoga studios and bike-able streets that make it easy to keep up with an active lifestyle.
With so many restaurants, bars, galleries and cafes close by, there’s always something to do in town. This property has incredible access to live music, exhibitions, film screenings, meditation gardens…the list is endless. It’s the perfect place for young people and families alike because of the fun variety of entertainment and activities that Encinitas has to offer.
When I first saw this New Encinitas Coastal Contemporary, I was struck by how elegant it was, despite its simplicity. Its clean white walls and angular structure leave an impression, it really is an unforgettable home. The design of the building parallels the ocean nearby: both the colors and materials used, inside and out, are inspired by the seashore; lots of blues and whites and faded woods are used, making it feel like you’re still on the sand even after you come home.
My favorite part of the New Encinitas Coastal Contemporary, though is the balcony; I can just imagine waking up and drinking my cup of coffee while enjoying the incredible view. I also love the way the sunlight comes in through all the large windows and really opens up the space. The interiors are another beautiful aspect of the space; their simplicity mirrors the simple design of the building, yet each piece is striking. The kitchen is made to be a congregation space, perfect for gathering friends around the center island to cook or enjoy a casual meal. The living room extends the home’s capacity for hosting, with plenty of space for parties and dinners.
I loved visiting this space and seeing what it has to offer. I have to say, this New Encinitas Coastal Contemporary has the best of the best: an unbeatable location and a dreamy, relaxed yet luxurious beach lifestyle.
