Objective:

This challenge was create to encourage realtors to reflect on their year, their achievements, growth areas, and set intentions for the coming year, all while showcasing their journey through video.

Duration: 8 weeks (2 months)

Challenge Structure:

  • Week 1: Introduction & Setup
    • Realtors introduce themselves and share their primary objective when they began the year.
  • Week 2: Biggest Achievement
    • Realtors share their proudest moment or biggest achievement in real estate this year.
  • Week 3: Overcoming Obstacles
    • Realtors discuss a challenge they faced and how they overcame it.
  • Week 4: Personal Growth Reflection
    • Realtors reflect on a personal growth moment they experienced this year, possibly tied to real estate.
  • Week 5: Lessons Learned
    • Realtors share key learnings and takeaways from their experiences this year.
  • Week 6: Gratitude Moment
    • Realtors express gratitude, acknowledging clients, team members, or personal contacts who made a difference in their year.
  • Week 7: Setting Intentions for Next Year
    • Realtors set and share their intentions or goals for the coming year, both professionally and personally.
  • Week 8: Final Reflection & Pitch
    • Realtors compile the highlights from their weekly videos, concluding with a statement about why they do what they do and how that is going to move them forward into the next year.

Notes:

  • Leverage this “end of year” theme to highlight and reflect on your journey, celebrate your achievements, and set powerful intentions for the coming year.
  • This challenge not only provides realtors with a structured format to showcase their year but also allows them to exhibit their storytelling abilities, their journey of personal growth, and their ambitions for the future. Part 2 of 3: 10 Minute Daily Action Plan

Let’s break it down into a daily 10-minute action plan that would enable realtors to produce 3 to 5 videos a week:

Monday: Brainstorm & Outline

Action Items:

  • Choose a weekly theme based on the challenge week (e.g., “Biggest Achievement” or “Personal Growth Reflection”).
  • Spend 5 minutes brainstorming main talking points.
  • Outline a basic script or bullet points for the first video of the week.

Tuesday: Recording Day 1

Action Items:

  • Find a quiet and well-lit space.
  • Set up your phone or camera on a stable surface.
  • Spend 5 minutes recording, focusing on getting the main points across. It doesn’t have to be perfect; authenticity is key.
  • If unsatisfied, take a couple of minutes to review and do a quick retake.

Wednesday: Editing & Enhancement Day 1

Action Items:

  • Least Time Intensive
    • Use in app editing (i.e. filters) in the Instagram to record yourself.
  • Most Time Intensive
    • Use simple editing apps like iMovie (for iPhone) or Kinemaster (for Android).
    • Trim the beginning and end of the video for a clean start and finish.
    • Add a title and your contact info if desired.
    • Save/export the video.

Thursday: Recording Day 2

Action Items:

  • Again, find a quiet and well-lit space.
  • Choose a different angle or backdrop for variety.
  • Record the second video following the same approach as Tuesday. Focus on the next set of bullet points or a different aspect of the weekly theme.

Friday: Editing & Enhancement Day 2 + Posting Day 1

Action Items:

  • Edit the second video just like on Wednesday.
  • Post the first video (from Tuesday) on your chosen platform (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube). Include a catchy caption and relevant hashtags.

Weekend Bonus (for those aiming for more than 2 videos a week):

Saturday: Quick Recording & Posting

Action Items:

  • Opt for a more informal setting – perhaps an outdoor location.
  • Share a quick tip, reflection, or anecdote related to the weekly theme.
  • Post it immediately without much editing to give it a raw and authentic feel.

Sunday: Planning for the Next Week

By following this structured yet flexible schedule, realtors can consistently produce quality content without feeling overwhelmed. It’s designed to be time-efficient while ensuring regular output. This way, realtors can leverage video content for growth without compromising their primary duties.

Part 3 of 3: “Mind-Over-Matter” Activities

Integrating “mind over matter” activities can greatly enhance the depth and quality of the challenge.

  • Cold Exposure Challenge
    • Objective: To cultivate mental resilience, discipline, and the ability to remain calm under discomfort.
    • Activity: Participants can choose between:
      • Cold Plunge: If they have access to a cold pool or natural body of water.
      • Cold Shower: Start with a regular warm shower and then switch to cold water for the last 2-5 minutes, focusing on maintaining steady breaths and a calm demeanor.
  • Meditative Reflection Challenge
    • Objective: To develop mindfulness, inner peace, and awareness.
    • Activity: Participants can opt for:
      • Sitting Meditation: Find a quiet spot, sit comfortably, focus on breathing, and observe thoughts without judgment for 5-10 minutes.
      • Walking Meditation: Walk slowly in a quiet place, being fully aware of each step, the sensation of feet touching the ground, and the rhythm of breath.
  • Visualization & Intention Setting Challenge
    • Objective: To foster clarity of goals, boost motivation, and enhance the power of intention.
    • Activity: Participants have the choice of:
      • Eyes-closed Visualization: Sit or lie down in a quiet place, close eyes, and vividly imagine achieving their goals, feeling the associated emotions.
      • Journaling Visualization: Spend 5-10 minutes writing in detail about their goals, how achieving them would feel, and the steps they need to take to get there.
  • Breath-work Challenge
    • Objective: To enhance focus, manage stress, and increase energy levels.
    • Activity: Introduce simple breath-work techniques:
      • Box Breathing: Inhale for a count of 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, and hold for 4. Repeat for 5-10 rounds.
      • Energizing Breath: Take quick, short, and forceful inhalations and exhalations through the nose for 1-2 minutes.

Participants are encouraged to choose at least one activity per week that aligns most with their comfort and preference. By offering a variety of options, we cater to different personalities and inclinations while ensuring everyone experiences the powerful benefits of “mind-over-matter” practices.
